Pegaso Models 75mm Celt 3 BC completed

Finally I managed to finish this piece. On Friday I put last brush strokes and took next day to Tulsa, Oklahoma miniature show. To my surprise I have received a gold medal for it, which is always a great feeling.  It was a fabulous show with many fantastic exhibitions. I can't wait for the next year edition.

I did not get a chance to publish pictures before the show so here is the completed model.

Here is some progress on the Celt figure. I have tweaked the face a little bit with redish tones and added a five o'clock shadow. Finished pants and shirt.

Here I am back.
After a longer break I have started next project. It is another Celt this time :)
Figure is produced by Pegaso Models in 75mm scale. It is quite well casted, fitting is good and it does not require much of the cleaning.

Completed Celt 3 B.C.

Here it is.I have completed Art Girona Celt 3 B.C. I had some dilemma about the finish when it comes to weathering. Finally I decided to go for some bloody look, which in my opinion is much realistic considering reality of the ancient battles.

Welcome back after a longer break. I was quite busy over the past weeks. I took Polish Winged Hussar to the Tulsa Show last weekend, where I was awarded a silver medal in the historic painters category. It was unexpectable and it felt nice.

Here is the another project I started some time ago. As I promised this is a little larger scale than Hussar. It is 70mm figure of celt from 3 B.C. It has been realesed by Art Girona.

I wanted to show you a picture from the progress on the skin. It is not a best quality picture. I took the photograph right after the painting session with my phone. From the picture you can see that torso and arms are finished. There is a basecoat only on the face and feet. I was going to achieve a caucasian light tones of the skin, but I will let you judge, if I found it right. :)

Finally I have managed the complete the Polish Hussar. It was interesting journey. I have learnt a lot during the project. Next there will be something bigger, a 75mm figure. Stay in touch.

Another step closer to the finish. The wings are done and just started working on the banner. It is quite challenging piece of a flag.
